Tahlia Fusca is a production designer based in Melbourne, working at the intersection of fine art and film. With a Master of Production Design (Screen) from the Victorian College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Monash University, her practice is grounded in visual storytelling that is both textural and emotionally driven. Tahlia crafts immersive worlds that draw on her early explorations of light, form and surface as conduits for meaning. 


She was awarded the 2025 APDG Award for Best Emerging Production Designer and has exhibited work internationally, including at UCLA’s Design West exhibition. Her design sensibility is informed by a deep interest in memory, psychology, and the atmospheres that surround human behaviour. Whether working on intimate dramas or conceptual pieces, her approach is hands-on, research-led and emotionally intuitive.


Tahlia is drawn to stories that explore relationships, rituals and the domestic, often leaning into the poetic and symbolic. She is currently working between long form and  short films.
